9/15/26: We were notified by KDPH that the Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) sampled water from Caneyville Reservoir in Grayson County. The test showed elevated microcystin levels, indicative of a harmful algal bloom (HAB). EEC samples this water body as part of their routine lakes and fish tissue monitoring program and staff observed an active algae bloom near the dam.
